Phosphorescence was inspired by a visit to the Sapphire Coast of New South Wales. The rhythm of piece was inspired by Ben’s first ever citing of phosphorescence taking place in the waves at Camel Rock in the township of Bermagui. Phosphorescence, by definition, is light emitted by a substance without combustion or perceptible heat.
